  1. Any reference to Forest City, NB? (pretty much my favourite place in the world)

    • Hi Brian! No reference to Forest City, NB but from what it looks like (googled!) it seems pretty rad!

  2. My question has two parts!

    1. How long has Kyle been growing his beard for?
    2. And if more than one year, does that mean it’s at it’s beardy maximum?

  3. are you ever going to tour mexico?

    • Hi Yasmine
We would love to go to Mexico! It’s tricky trying to find people to bring us down (and pay for some of it) so if we find that, we’re there. It looks might nice!

  4. Are you ever going to release Haunting Moon Sinking on vinyl?

    • Ah, we wish! As of right now, we are not putting Haunting Moon Sinking out on vinyl. We’re working on a 45 vinyl right now, and perhaps our next record will be on vinyl too (we hope!) but for right now, no HMS on vinyl.

  5. and like also write really good songz lol :)

    • Thank you, you are nice. We’re just ourselves, I’m glad you think we’re awesome.

  6. hey fcl,

its kat ever gonna start wearing something a little more revealing? show a little shoulder, maybe some of her chesticles?

    your fan,

    phil

    • Well, yes Phil. In fact for the new tour Kat has designed a nudie suit for the entire band to wear. GET READY!

  7. Hey FCL!
Can I mail you guys a demo CD? And can you guys consider coming back to Halifax? I’ll make it my duty to fill the room if necessary! Just try and keep it all ages if possible ;D

    your friend,
    Alex

    • yes you can mail us a demo, we’ll listen to it in the van even. not sure when we’ll be in halifax, hopefully soon!

      • obvs you know we’re coming back to halifax in a couple weeks! :)

  8. Where are really FCL from? Your websites say Toronto but I heard rumors that it’s actually closer to Whitby or Oshawa.

    • “FCL really,” not “really FCL”

I don’t know what happened there.

      • Really FCL are each from different planets, small and large. Kyle is from Jupiter, Mika who grew up on Saturn, Christian from Neptune and Kat is from Tralmalfadore.

      • FCL wishes they were from Oshawa. But the truth is that they couldn’t make it on the east side of hwy 2.

  9. Hey FCL,

Just wanted to say I loved the FIB 2 show and both albums are amazing. My question is regarding the extra d’urberville I’ve seen play with you a number of times now. What’s the deal with him? He in the band now? I think he adds a lot to the songs and he’s really fun to watch as well. Not only due to the fact he’s changing insturments every other song, but he incorporates his magic/d’urb head bob into your songs quite nicely.

He also told a story about trying to bake cookies at one of your shows once that made him even more likeable. I’m not in love with him (I promise), I just hope the next time I see you he’s in the band.

    All the best,
    Alan.

    • Hey Alan
Tim will indeed be with us, probably, for the next show you see. He is lovely isn’t he? My mum likes his head bob too. He is “really fun to watch” she says.

      • oh and that’s awesome you remember the cookie story!!

  10. Hi all of you people in FCL.
I just found your music. And I’m happy to hear that you wrote a song about us good people in Minneapolis (It’s a beautiful song by the way). We have some Minnesotans down here that would really love to hear you play sometime. Any plans to visit?

    • Hi Chris!
We’re stoked you like the song! We are hoping to go stateside with the release of our next album, so definitely keep checking back. If you have anywhere you think we should play in specific, email us!!!

  11. Hey guys,
I was listening to your albums today (BTW your tunes = great soundtrack to reading sociology textbooks) and I was wondering what your recording setup is like, I have my own little music-as-a-hobby project going with pretty basic equipment, but I’d be interested to know how you folks roll,

    • Hey Calvin! Firstly, that’s rad that you’re starting to record. Super cool and fun thing to do, for sure! When I was recording my early stuff I would just use a couple SM57 mics and run it into a 4 track or Garageband. When we recorded our recent album and 7″, we with our pals Heather Kirby and James Bunton at a small studio called Angles Up (run by the great Leon Taheny). It was a basic set up with a board running into a recording program called Nuendo. James is the guy to ask if you have more specific questions, you can check him out at http://www.rowsandrowsoflights.com ! Hope that helps!

  12. Guten Tag,

great music. How can I get your CD and a shirt from your band? Is it possible to send it to Germany? Here I only get your music by downloading it, but i wanna have your CD so bad.

    Liebe GrĂ¼sse
    Anne
